Edit About Info

Genres: Indie & Alternative, Pop

Founded: 2005

Biography: The Dykeenies are three brothers and two friends from Cumbernauld intent on taking over the universe via the medium of popular music.

Formed in late 2005, the band sold out their first ever gig (at the ABC2 in Glasgow) and became the first band signed to the King Tuts Recordings label. In 2006, they played the NME tour and got cracking on the debut album, Nothing Means Everything, which was produced by Dave Eringa and Dimitri Tikovoi, and released the following summer.

They've played venues as monstrous as Meadowbank Stadium and Edinburgh Castle, rocked the main stage at Rock Ness and packed the Pet Sounds tent at T in the Park.
