Big Apple Film Festival accepts submissions for features, shorts, documentaries, short documentaries, animation, experimental and student films.
All films submitted must have been completed on or after September 1, 2008.
All films must be submitted on DVD in NTSC format.
If you would like your screening copy returned, you must provide self-addressed stamped packaging.
All feature narratives and feature documentaries must be over 70 minutes in length.
All short film narratives and short documentaries must be under 70 minutes in length.
Animated, experimental and student films of all lengths will be considered.
All filmmakers must have an exhibition format available in at least one of the following: DVD, digibeta, Beta SP, VHS, 35mm or 16mm.

Each year BAFF presents its Golden Apple Award to one individual for exceptional artistic achievement in the New York City independent film community.
In addition, in 2008 the festival presented its first NY Emerging Talent Award to Independent Spirit Award Nominee Jesse Eisenberg (Zombieland, The Squid and the Whale, Rodger Dodger, Adventureland).
