Overview: The DC Shorts Film Competition spotlights truly independent short films (under 20 minutes) in every genre, created by new and established filmmakers. Many categories to enter - many cash and product prizes will be awarded.

During the film competition weekend (September 10-12), we will screen 100 films in 10 rotating showcases. We have many local films, as well as movies from 16 different countries!

After the competition weekend (September 13-17), we will re-screen all of the programs, plus remix films into specialty shows. The week culminates with the special “Best of DC Shorts” screenings on Thursday, September 17.
