With more than nine years industry experience, Daniel Reid's recent commercial achievements include: designing, retouching and animating for BMW; directing, designing and animating the site for advertising and design agency Thatworks; and directing, designing and animating an interactive online race for Pennzoil's network of sales representatives.
Daniel is also known for his 'painterly' approach to 3D animation, in which he departs from the usual photorealism or cartoons, with unique results. The influence of Edward Hopper is clearly seen in his major 3D works. Short film, 'The Cleaners,' features sinister nocturnal visitors that clear away all in their path. Music video 'One Six One,' matches the song's frenetic pace, following the band Bit By Bats as they jump the wrong train heading deep into a menacing city, where their grasp on reality is tested.
Daniel holds an Advanced Diploma of Multimedia (RMIT) and a Bachelor of Visual Arts ( University of South Australia ).
