Biography: Debbie originally trained as an actor but was heralded as ‘the future of British Theatre' (The Guardian) when she wrote and directed a series of award wining black comedies that took the Edinburgh Festival by storm. Highly respected as a theatre maker, she has toured the world with her internationally renowned theatre company Snarling Beasties.

More recently, Debbie has become better known as a filmmaker, creating an instant stir with her debut feature film 'Nasty Neighbours' and going on to make the smash hit improvised comedy feature, 'Confetti'.

Debbie is a guest teacher of screenwriting for the Arvon Foundation and is Creative Director of Her Films, a feature film development company aimed at encouraging female talent in British cinema.
