Diego Sanchidrián (Madrid, 1977) started his way in the audiovisual creation by making some amateur short films when he was 15 years old. In 1995 he began his audiovisual studies at University, participating in almost 50 short films. Meanwhile, he worked as TV director for the Spanish company Europroducciones. From that moment on, he has devoted to an intense production of short films, (‘Historia de un destino’ in 2004, ‘Atado’ in 2006, ‘A primera vista’ and ‘El hilo de oro - The Golden Thread’ in 2007) which have got more than 20 awards in film festivals worldwide. At the moment he is distributing his new short film, ‘GPS’.
Diego Sanchidrian was adjudged the best director for the way he handled the story of emotional upheavals in the life of the characters with rare sensitivity, restraint and a delicate poetic touch.
