Marvin has the most boring job in the universe - but all is not as it seems...

A surprise hoot.

Created by the gifted Scandinavian animator Henrik Bjerregaard Clausen, ETA is full of pretty pictures, and it has a doozey of an ending.

It’s about a slacker named Marvin, who's stuck out in the middle of space in a clunky spacecraft that's always breaking down. He's like Fry in Futurama, except his ship moves at a much more glacial pace that the good ship Planet Express Ship. His Estimated Time of Arrival (or ETA) is 173 days, 16 hours and 48 minutes. Sheesh!

I won’t give the ending away, but it involves the blessing of Oscar-winning set designer H.R. Giger. Gotta love those cute little tongue-hands that come out of the alien’s mouth. Priceless!

Clausen shows an attention to detail and design worthy of Giger. The lighting and framing create an atmosphere of dread, making the ending even more of a surprise hoot.
