Funnee vid 4 sure lol is a very amusing guide to emoticons :). It should be a learning experience for older people, while younger audiences should feel free to laugh at themselves.

Tim Clague, who created the video, clearly thinks emoticons will lead to the downfall of civilization. My feelings on the subject are somewhat mixed. On some level, I DO understand how stupid they are, but I use them anyway. I don’t think it’s precisely to fit in, either. Given that texting has replaced vocal communication to such a large degree, emoticons allow for a broader range of… well, emotions. If I made someone laugh, I want to know it.

That’s why “lol” is a good emoticon. Funnee vid 4 sure lol is at its best when it makes fun of the ridiculous ones, like +0(. The human face simply doesn’t contort in such a way.
